If you are considering a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog --or Swissy as they are known to their friends-- as an addition to your household, please take a moment to get to know the breed -- the good AND the bad. Swissies can make wonderful, loving companions, but they are not perfect for every person or every family.
I have been carefully breeding Swissies for almost twenty years and am proud to be an AKC Breeder of Merit and a longtime member of the Greater Swiss Mountain Dog Club of America (GSMDCA).
Good health and gentle, loving temperaments are a top priority EVERY time I plan a breeding. Although no one will ever breed the 'perfect' dog, that is no reason not to try.
Whether you are looking for a Swissy as a family companion or a potential show dog, I will be glad to talk to you about my dogs and provide you with information about the health, temperament and history of this wonderful breed.
